Oneta Mae Sweeden of Grapevine, Arkansas went to be with our Lord on January 27, 2022,  with her family by her side.

She was born July 12, 1927 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, to Troy and Annie Britton Merriman.  On February 27, 1942 she married the love of her life, Albert Sweeden. Together they worked hard to raise their children and teach them right from wrong.

Mrs. Sweeden was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Carl and Virgil Merriman; her husband, Albert; her sons Richard and Donald Sweeden; her grandsons, Scotty Sweeden, Nick Wheeler; great grandson, Alex Cowles.

She is survived by her son, Buddy Sweeden (Joan) of California; her daughters, Betty Wheeler (Gene) of Oregon, and Sherry Wheeler of Grapevine; grandchildren, Darin Wheeler, Dawn Cierzan of Oregon, Malisa Sweeden,  David Wheeler (Sandy), Travis Sweeden (Melissa) of California, Eli Delk and Shalisa Delk of Arkansas.  She is also survived by 31 great grandchildren, 22 great great grandchildren and 1 great great great grand-daughter.  She will be forever loved and missed by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 Monday, January 31, 2022 at Hedden Chapel Assembly of God Church in Grapevine, with Bro. Tom Young officiating.  Visitation is from 10:30-11:00 A.M.  Burial will be the following week in Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery, Lindsay, California.
