Opal Puckett Crouse of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 6, 1921 in Sheridan, the daughter of the late George Harrison and Vera Ellen Reese Puckett. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She loved to fish and hunt turkey, deer and squirrels. Also, she enjoyed canning, gardening and cooking for her family.

Mrs. Crouse died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 91.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Guy Crouse, Brothers, Reese Puckett, H. B. Puckett, Irvin Puckett,
her sister, Ruth Alma Hester and a daughter-in-law, Diane Wilson Crouse.

Survivors: Sons, Raymond J. Crouse and wife Martha of Sheridan; Roy W. "Buddy" Crouse and Sharon Mitchell of Sheridan;
Brothers, Donald D. Puckett and wife Betty of Sheridan;
Conrad Puckett and wife Retha of Pasadena, Texas;
3 grandsons, John Crouse of Sheridan, Dean Crouse and wife Suzanne of Sheridan, Andy Crouse of Los Angeles, CA ;
1 great granddaughter, Liberty Crouse of Sheridan and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 25, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Danny Hill and Bro. Rick Etheridge officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel South Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel South Cemetery Assn., 707 Scott Street, Sheridan, AR 72150.

Pallbearers are Rickey Cooper, Ronnie Lumsden, Billy Joe Nichols, Joe McElroy, Harley Paty, Steve Ward, Robert Hurst and Wayne McElroy.
