Opal Shaddock Key of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 24, 1917 in Holly Spring, Arkansas the daughter of the late John and Inis Shirron Shaddock. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Sheridan and beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Mrs. Key died Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 89.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Neil W. Key; Brothers, Emmett Shaddock, Dewey Shaddock, and sister Sadie Looney.
Survivors: Daughter and Son-in-law, Norma Jean and Keith Deere of Pine Bluff;
Sister, Doris Brazeale of Sparkman;
Grandchildren, Mel Deere of Van Buren and Christy Deere Dunstan of Little Rock;
Great grandchildren, Austyn, Katelyn and Bailey Grace;
Funeral Services will be Sunday, February 5, 2006 at 2:30 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Jimmy Bobo and Bro. Bruce Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation: Saturday 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Brent Walker, David Brazeale, Tom Bradshaw, James Edwards, Steve Bailey, John Lipscomb and Billy Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be R. L. Beck and Homer Gene Brazeale. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church, 300 West Vine, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
