Orbie Odell Thompson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 31, 1946 in Monticello, Arkansas, the son of the late Edward Thompson  and Lucy Pruitt Strickland. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Malvern where he served his Lord faithfully. He loved to read his Bible every morning and spend time at the county library. He also loved to coon hunt in his younger days. His greatest joy was going to church and telling others about his Jesus.

Orbie died on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Malvern at the age of 75.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Thompson and a sister Bernice Hall.

Survivors: wife, Pam Scott Thompson; brothers, Jimmy Strickland, Frankie Denis; sister, Bonnie Slater all of Sheridan and many extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the church he attended in Malvern.
