Obituary
Otis Dewayne Gilbert of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 19, 1961 at Little Rock, the son of the late Otis Lee and Irene Wedge Gilbert. He was a roofer, and he loved to fish, play horseshoes and watch the Discovery Channel.
Mr. Gilbert died Friday, July 1, 2011 at his home in Sheridan, surrounded by his family, at the age of 49.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Hughes Gilbert; Daughters, Kimberly Gilbert, Stacy Gilbert; Step-daughter, Tina Lay; step-son, David Stricklin; all of Sheridan; sisters, Sheila Stephens of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Faye Chambers of Catoosa, Oklahoma, Shirley Gilbert of Sheridan; grandchildren, Shawna, Haley and James Lay, Austin Stricklin, Sarah and Madison "Maddie" Romine; 4 nieces, 2 nephews; and a very special lady, Aunt Mildred Kalanick.
A private family service will be held. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Ida Mission Cemetery
