Pamela Lea Avant Torres of Hensley, Arkansas was born January 8, 1969 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the daughter of Jeanette Williams Avant and the late Woodrow Avant. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School Class of 1987; a member of Marlow Missionary Baptist Church; had been previously employed by the Arkansas State Police and was a member of ASP Angels.

Pam died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 42.

Survivors: Husband, Carlos Torres of Hensley; Mother, Jeanette Avant of Hensley:
Daughter, Samantha Lea Lavelle Clark and husband Matt of Sheridan;
Step-Son, Edwin Arias and wife Claudia of Woodbridge, VA;
Brothers, Jay and wife Kaye Avant of Deleware, Arkansas;
Tom and wife Nyla Avant of East End;
Mark and wife Jamie Avant of Charlotteville, VA;
Sister, Annette and husband Dwain Brooks of Jacksonville;
Nieces and nephews, Tim, Anthony, Carey, Kevin, Susan, Matt, Mackenzie, Jessica, Caitlin and a host of friends.
2 step-grandchildren: Diana and A.J.;

A Memorial Service will be 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Paul Roberts and Bro. Ian Kumpe officiating. A time of visitation will be from 10:00 A. M. Until service time.
