Obituary

Pamela Kay Collie Gartman of Redfield, Arkansas was born July 29, 1949 in Little Rock, the daughter of the late James (Jim) and Vera Celeste Moring Collie. She loved playing the piano, singing gospel songs, and making sure everyone was happy and fed. She never met a stranger and would always tell you any story you wanted to hear because she always remembered the details. She also loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus, and was a faithful member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church.

Pam went to be with her Lord on August 25, 2023 in Little Rock, at the age of 74, surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers-in-law, William (Billy) Birdsong, Jr., Samuel (Sam) Stoops and Russell Johnson.

Survivors: husband of 52 years, Cletus "Chris" Ray Gartman of Redfield; two children, Tim (Annette) Gartman of Greenbrier, Brandy (Jarrod) Bowen of Hamburg; five grandchildren, Taylor and Connor Gartman, Alli, Paige, and Presley Bowen; two sisters, Jan Stoops and Sheila (Mike) Nix; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at East Union Missionary Baptist church with Bro. Paul Roberts, Bro. Dennis Holmes, and Bro. Tanner Stoops officiating. Visitation is at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until service time. Burial will follow at Orion Cemetery near Redfield.

Pallbearers are Luke Birdsong, Matt Birdsong, Geoffrey Ford, Brett Johnson, Rusty Johnson and Greg Stoops. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the East
Union Missionary Baptist Church Food Pantry, or Youth Program.
