Patsy Jean Gray Gartman of Sheridan, Arkansas was born February 4, 1928 in Cabot, the daughter of the late Burney and Verna Williams Gray. She was the oldest member of Ephesus Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She had worked for Dr. Jack Irvin and the Sheridan Nursing Home for many years. She was a supporter for the Sheridan Little League and 4-H and enjoyed playing the piano and singing.
Ms. Gartman passed away at her home in Sheridan at the age of 95.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Howard Gartman; brother, Bill Gray; sisters, Jeanette Lohr, Bobbie Hamm; daughter-in-law, Marcia Gartman; son-in-law, James Moltz; granddaughter, Renee Gartman.
Survivors: sons, Laronne (Teresa) Gartman, David Gartman, Steve (Sherry) Gartman, Kim (Jeanne) Gartman; daughter, Joan Moltz all of Sheridan; 14 grandchildren; and a host of great and great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
