Obituary

Patricia Young Nelson of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 11, 1949 in Dubois, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late George and Anna B. Young. She attended North Main Baptist Church and worked at the Sheridan Recreation Center Complex. Patty had a great love for animals. She crocheted and enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. She was a proud mother and grandmother to her own and was honored to take on the role of being "Mom" to countless others in the community over the years. Patty had a strength and determination, as well as a love for others, that was admired by all who knew her.

Ms. Nelson died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 61. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a niece, Judy Lynn.

Survivors: Son, Michael Nelson of Sheridan;
Daughters, Lea Hedrick Rentch and husband Rob of Uvalde, Texas, Tiffany Nelson Eichler and husband Tim of Sheridan;
Brother, Ronald Young and wife Sherry of Sardis;
Sister, Judy Lewis and husband Ronnie of Locust Grove, Georgia;
Grandchildren: Kyle and Lauren Rentch, Bailey and Nolan Michael Nelson, Brayden and Allison; Nieces, Amanda Hays and husband Bill; Carol Ann Morris and husband Kenny. "Granddogs", Slick and Sadie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Joe Bratton and Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will be in Camp Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday.

The family wishes to offer their heartfelt appreciation to the caring professionals at Baptist Medical Center CCU for having "servants hearts" and for taking such good care of Patty.

Pallbearers are David Hollingshead, Michael Nelson, Tim Eichler, Bill Hays, Jackie Stone, and Rob Rentch. Honorary pallbearers are Tiger Nelson, Robert Sallis, Alan Thornburg and Kyle Rentch.
