Paul Daniel Bone, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born in Lonoke, Arkansas on April 24, 1930, the son of the late John Dillard and Rosie Long Bone. He died at his home in Sheridan on October 5, 2005 at the age of 75 years.
He was the nationally recognized owner of Little Rock Tent and Awning Company of Little Rock; a member of First Baptist Church in Sheridan; and a member of Grant County Chamber of Commerce and the Arkansas Traveler's Baseball Club. He was an avid gardener, a major sponsor of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Golf Tourney in Minden, Louisiana and president of Twin City Sports Baseball Club. In addition, he was a loving husband, father, great-grandfather; great-great-grandfather and boss, who took great pride in his grandchildren. Mr. Bone was a veteran of the US Army; President of Dixie Baseball in West Monroe, Louisiana and a sponsor of the Arkansas and Louisiana Youth football, baseball, and basketball teams. He was a former owner of Monroe Tent and Awning Company in West Monroe, Louisiana. His hobbies were grilling ribs, and had friends and family come from miles around; and a favorite past-time was hanging out at Fisher's restaurant daily. He loved traveling and was a sponsor of his wife's WIBC Bowling Team; was a member of Arkansas Hospitality Association; he sang in a gospel quartet (Bayou Meto Boys) and took great pride and joy in supporting his grand-children in Yellow Jacket and Stinger games. He also enjoyed his antique cars, namely a 1936 Plymouth and a 1971 Buick Rivera. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Sheridan, Arkansas with Reverend Mark Lindsey and Reverend Bruce Bennett officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. (870-942-1306) Visitation will be Friday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM.
Pallbearers will be: Jeff Bone, Rick Airoldi, Hershel Martin, Larry Raper, Trent Allen, Justin Allen, Ronnie Huff and Tommy Huff, Jr.
