Obituary

Paul Wesley Hollinger of Prattsville, Arkansas was born May 17, 1953 in Roseburg, Oregon, the son of the late B. W. "Cotton" and Louanna Hull Hollinger. He was a 1971 graduate of Prattsville High School and worked for Arkla Gas meter shop until it closed. In the 25 years he was there he learned how to operate everything in the shop. He enjoyed fishing, making fudge for family and friends and watching movies. He was proud to hold a first degree Black Belt in Taekwando.

Most of all he loved the Lord and found great joy in gospel singing. He had a marvelous bass voice. He was not shy about asking everyone he met for the first time if they knew Christ as their personal Savior.

Pail did not want people to grieve for him but to rejoice that he has gone to Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Paul passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 71.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Virginia "Ginger" Pearson Hollinger of Prattsville; sister, Dianne Hollinger Allen (Tom) of Sheridan; nieces, Lindsey Stanton (Joel), Jamie Martin (Nate); 3 grand nieces, 2 grand nephews, 2 aunts, Connie Hull Vaughan and Orene Hollinger Caple and a large group of cousins, who were very dear to him, in particular, Carol Hollinger Pearson (Brian) who he loved like a daughter as well as special friends Roy Cooper and Jim Eaton.

A Celebration of his joy at being in heaven will be Friday, October 11, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member, with Bro. Neal Hollinger and Bro. Don Goodman officiating.
