Obituary

Paul "Buddy" Lewis, 76, of Little Rock, Arkansas died Thursday, January 1st 2015. He is a graduate of Fuller high school in 1956,and was an outstanding athlete in football, and basketball.

He is the son of the late Gene and Eula Mae Ahart Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley Brumett Lewis, two daughters, Terry Lewis Schlarb, Janet and her husband Tracy Irwin and four sons; Mark and his wife Melody Lewis, Don and his wife Donna Brumett, Clay and his wife Jo Ellen Brumett, and Johnny Brumett, two brothers Tommy and his wife Jerry Lewis, Phil and his wife Carol Lewis and one sister, Burnice Hamilton, fourteen grandchildren; Katie Lewis, Nathan and his wife Katie Lewis, Marshall Lewis, Kristen, Taylor, and Brooke Irwin, Ashley Brumett, Kylee and her husband Adam Hoover, J.C. Brumett, Stephanie Brumett, Amber and her husband Daniel Workman, and four great-grandchildren Jackson Paul Lewis (Paul's namesake), Triston, Auston and Kingston Hoover, along with many nieces and nephews.

His hobbies included horseback riding, hunting, fishing and calling the Hogs. He liked nothing better than sitting in the woods, under the tree and listening to the sounds around him. He was a man who said what he meant and meant what he said. He was a Christian man that believed in the Virgin Birth, Crucifixion and the Resurrection. He was well liked and respected by all who knew him. His love and joy was his family and he will be forever missed.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 5, 2015 at Springlake Church of the Nazarene in Hensley, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and honorary pallbearers will be his great grandsons.
