Peggy Joyce McAlister Walker of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 15, 1932 in Wilmer, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Robert Cecil and Ola Grace De Priest McAlister. She was a member of Sheridan Pentecostal Church of God, where she loved to serve her Lord and worship Him with her church family. She read the Bible every day. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Walker died Thursday, June 23, 2016 at White Hall Nursing Home at the age of 84.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Hemmert and Frank Walker, son, Frank Hemmert, Jr. and a grandson, Robert Hemmert.

Survivors: sons, David Hemmert of Sheridan, Wayne Hemmert and wife Carol of Sheridan; daughters, Brenda Myers of Byhalia, MS and Kelly Hemmert of Brentwood, TN; sister, Faye Rundel of Ft. Smith and 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 10;00 A.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Jackie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
