Phillip Lester Holiman of Prattsville, Arkansas was born May 03, 1942 in Prattsville, Arkansas, the son of the late Lester and Remagene Elrod Holiman. He was an active member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Prattsville, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday school superintendent. He was a graduate of Prattsville High School and Nashville Diesel College and had served his community greatly for 25 years as Fire Chief of the Prattsville Fire Department. He also served on the Prattsville School Board for many years. He owned Holimans Service Station and had also worked for AP&L, Teeters and he taught at National Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the Razorbacks.
Mr. Holiman passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 78.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife, Linda Reynolds Holiman of Prattsville; son, Brent (Denise) Holiman of Prattsville; daughters, Lisa (Scott) Smith of West Monroe, Louisiana, Ede H. Baker of Prattsville; brothers, Ronald (Theresa) Holiman of Prattsville, Harold (Anita) Holiman of Prattsville; sisters, Dana (Paul) Williams of Hot Springs and Tammy (Larry) Crutchfield of Prattsville; grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Allen (Tonia) Smith, Michael Hollinger, Landon (Brandi) Baker, and Jordan Smith; great grandchildren, Hunter Smith and Dakota Montgomery and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family and friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Pat Greer officiating. Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 P.M. also at the funeral home. A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 37, Prattsville, Arkansas 72129.
