Phillip John Mooney of Sheridan, Arkansas was born March 21, 1985 at Little Rock, the son of John and Cheryl Anderson Mooney. He was a member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan,was a 2003 graduate of Hallsville high in Hallsville, Texas, was a student at U.A.L.R, and was employed by MAYCOM Construction. Phillip had a particular love of the outdoors. He spent a great deal of time hunting, fishing, coon hunting, four wheeler riding and looking at trucks. He was a member of the Sheridan Hunting Club and the Arkansas Team Penning Association.
Phillip died Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Prattsville at the age of 20. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rev. Sheppard and Marie Mooney.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 8, 2005 at the First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan with Bro. Buddy Ritter, Bro. Don Goodman, and Bro. Danny Hill officiating. Burial will be in the Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation: Sunday, 4-7 P.M. at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
