Phyliss Lynn Stevens Anderton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 23, 1957 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Charles Marion and Evelyn Tuberville Stevens. She was a very selfless person, having been a caregiver to many people. She was a CNA and she took pride in taking care of her patients. Her family was very important to her and she loved them all dearly. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, scrapbooking and being with her grandchildren.

Ms. Anderton died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 59.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy and Chester Stevens and a sister, Charlene Thomason.

Survivors: sons, Ray and wife Teri Owens of Sheridan, Aaron Owens and Deborah Kelley of Sheridan, Preston and Beth Owens of Grapevine, Bobby Owens of Sheridan; daughter Jessica and husband Kris Persons of Sheridan; step-son, Jon Paul and wife Kay Anderton of Sheridan; step-daughter, Maria and husband Roy Kelley of Sheridan; brother, Chuck Stevens of Sheridan; sisters, Mary and husband Paul Cooper of London, Sharon and husband Dub Anders of Prattsville, Eve and husband James Brooks of Sheridan, Gail Owens of Sheridan; 14 precious grandchildren, Andrue Owens, Jasper Owens, Colton Williams, Alex Williams, Greg Owens, Graycee Owens, Shia Persons, Lila Persons, Ashlyn Wilkinson, Austin Anderton, Crystal Kelley, Paula Kelley, Tyler Kelley, and Jesse Kelley and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Thomason officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery at Grapevine. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Russell Cooper, Raymond Cooper, Charles Cooper, Jay Holmes, Ronnie Thomason, and Scott Thomason. Honorary pallbearers are Luke Anders, Anthony Brooks, and Tommy Stevens, Jr.
