IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Phyllis
Mciver
August 14, 1946 – August 28, 2025
Phyllis Ann McIver, 79, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on August 28, 2025, in Sheridan, Arkansas. She was born on August 14, 1946, in Scranton, Arkansas, to the late Alton and Lorene Davis.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenny Squires; her son, Michael Squires; and her brothers, Terry Davis and Jackie Davis. She is survived by her son, Ryan McIver, and his wife Becky; grandson, Bailey McIver, and his wife Olivia; great-grandson, Cohen; great-granddaughter, Camilla; sister, Brenda Moore (Terry); brother, Shelby Davis; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and close friends who will miss her dearly.
Phyllis spent more than 30 years working at Stephens Diversified Leasing before continuing her career in real estate with McDaniel Realty. She enjoyed art as a hobby, especially painting and drawing, and she passed her love of cooking on to her son Ryan. She also had a special heart for animals, fostering many dogs that often became part of her family.
Her greatest joy came from her family. She loved cheering for her grandson Bailey during his high school and college football years, and she later delighted in watching her great-grandson Cohen play sports. She treasured keeping Cohen and Camilla and made it her mission to spoil them every chance she had. Known for her selflessness, Phyllis would do anything to help someone in need, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and generosity.
Phyllis was a devoted Christian and faithfully attended East Union Missionary Baptist Church as an online member. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Brother Paul Roberts and his family for their love, prayers, and support during this time. They also wish to express their deep gratitude to the Sheridan Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for the care, compassion, and kindness shown to Phyllis and to her family.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
