Ray Thomas Allen, Jr. of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 25, 1931 in Hope, Arkansas the son of the late Ray Thomas Allen, Sr. and Janie Elizabeth Roberta Kidd Allen. He was a member of Hope First Baptist Church and had served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Allen died at his home December 6, 2008 at the age of 76. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Janell Jordan Allen and a granddaughter, Casey Allen.

Brother, Jim and wife Carole Allen of Sheridan;
Sisters, Betty Jane Barrett of Dallas; Joann and husband Billy Ray Seale of Texarkana, Texas; Mary Beth Caldwell and husband Jack of Little Rock;
Grandchildren, Samantha, Jordan, Sarah, Brittney and Caitlin;
Great grandchildren, Tyler, James and Joseph, Grace Rivers and Jaxon.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Texarkana, Texas with Rev. Bruce Bennett officiating. Visitation: 6-8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tony Olivier, Jim Allen, Jr., Roy Browning, Jordan Allen, Tony Patterson and Jack Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Ray Seale and Jay Caldwell.
