Ray Orville Rieve of Rison, Arkansas formerly of Sheridan, was born August 28, 1928 in St. Charles, Arkansas the son of the late Robert Orville Rieve and Bertha Claycomb Rieve. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and had previously taught Sunday School for many years at Northside Baptist Church in Dumas. He had served in the Army during the Korean conflict. His greatest love was his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Rieve died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at his home, Southern Hills Cottages in Rison at the age of 81.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Romine Rieve in 2001 and a sister, Geraldine Harrison Pech.

Ronnie Rieve of Pine Bluff;
Robert Rieve of Sheridan;
Daughters, Debbie Clemons of Prattsville;
Connie Dobson of Tichnor;
17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Terry Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville. Visitation: 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
