Raymond Fitzgerald of Sheridan, Arkansas was born October 14, 1931 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of the late Elmer Raymond and Amanda Ruth Edwards Fitzgerald. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan where he served his Lord faithfully. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, fishing, and gardening. He also raised horses and cows. He was retired from Parkin Printing and he loved to spend time with his family.
Mr. Fitzgerald passed away at his home, December 4, 2021 surrounded by his family at the age of 90.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son–in-law, Doyle Lee and a brother Dennis Fitzgerald.
Survivors are his wife, caregiver and best friend, Viola Langley Fitzgerald of Sheridan; son Richard (Bonnie) Fitzgerald of Sheridan; daughters Debbie (Terry) Hitt of Sheridan, Pat (Carroll) Threet of Hensley, Judy Lee of Sheridan; brother Paul (Penny) Fitzgerald of Hot Springs Village; sister Ruth Bunch of North Little Rock; 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Corinth Cemetery with his grandsons, Bro. Adam Fitzgerald and Bro. Jaycob Kramer officiating. There will be no visitation.
Pallbearers are Lathan Lancaster, Marty Lancaster, Wayne Hitt, David Fitzgerald, Michael Sebree, and Charlie Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Pierce and Earl Poe.
The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice of White Hall for the kindness, respect and love that was given to Mr. Fitzgerald and his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital #1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72205 or Alzheimer's Association.
