Razza James Poe of Sheridan, Arkansas was born April 12, 1925 at Belfast, Arkansas the son of the late Stephen Wyatt (Bud) and Margaret Carpenter Poe. Mr. Poe served in the 2nd Infantry Division in WWII where he received numerous medals including a Purple Heart. He later retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. He was an member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and the Little Creek Quartet and choir.

Mr. Poe died Thursday, August 19, 2004 at Jefferson Regional Medical in Pine Bluff at the age of 79.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step father; J. Harry Puckett, son; Michael Olin Poe, sisters; Ione Davis, Melissa Hundley, Joey Allen, brothers; Wyatt (Bye)Poe, Joseph K. Poe, George Puckett, Ted Puckett, "Preacher" Puckett, Dude Puckett.

Survivors: Wife of 57 years Bonnie Hamner Poe of Sheridan, Daughter; Judy Davis and husband Wayne of Sheridan, Sisters; Julitta Wells, Cora Steadman both of California, Laverne Lucas of Sheridan, Betty Zylks of Rodessa, Louisiana, Janie Derrick of Sheridan, Floy Davis of Klamoth Falls, Oregon

Grandchildren: Terri Brookshier and husband Delbert, Tina Fleming and husband Derric, Chelsea MacDonald and husband Bill, Jennifer Fruge' and husband Allen, Christopher Poe.

Great grandchildren: Michelle and Nathan Brookshier, Danielle, Bay and Carson Fleming, Rachel, Lauren and Michaela Rodriguez , Zachary MacDonald.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, August 22, 2004 at 2:30 PM at Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan with Rev. C.M. Carey, Rev. Ron Ballard and Rev. Dennis Holmes Officiating. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation: Saturday 6-8 P.M. Memorials may be made to Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church P.O.
