Obituary

Renae McClure, a beloved homemaker, passed away on January 29, 2026, at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas. Born on February 7, 1967, in Benton, Renae's life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family and her deep commitment to her faith.

A graduate of the Sheridan High School Class of 1985, Renae embraced her role as a loving homemaker with grace and devotion. She was known for her caring nature, displaying the faith of Job throughout all of her challenges in life, never faltering or complaining. Renae found joy in singing and shared her talents as a gifted singer and piano player, often performing for her church, New Life Fellowship in Sheridan, where she was a faithful member.

In addition to her musical passion, Renae enjoyed spending her time watching birds, admiring flowers, and thrifting—small joys that illuminated her spirited personality. Renae was also a member of the Mid South Car Club.

Renae's family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her devoted husband, Johnny McClure; her loving daughters, Crystal McClure and Emily (Blade) Reeves; her cherished grandchildren, Sheamus Christian and Oakley Reeves; and her brothers, Bud (Heather) Gregory, Raydean (Twylia) Shoptaw, Bill (Marla) Gregory, and Alan (Jamie) Gregory. She also leaves behind her sisters, Sharon (Steve) Bryant, Sonya (Richard) Baxter, and Liz (Jay) Giblin.

Renae is preceded in death by her father, Arlan Gregory; her stepfather, Charlie Shoptaw; her mother, Betty Spann Shoptaw; her sister, Shirley Shoptaw; her grandparents, and her in-laws, J.T. and Kathleen McClure.

Visitation will be held on February 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Funeral service will be held February 4, 2026, at 10:00 AM with Bro. Steve Cypert and Bro. Johnathan Cypert ministering. Both services will take place at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Renae McClure leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and joy that will resonate in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by her family, friends, and community.
