IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Reuben Alexander
Parker
May 23, 1987 – January 22, 2022
Reuben Alexander Parker of Redfield, Arkansas was born May 23, 1987 in Little Rock, the son of George Russell "Rusty" Parker and Juanita Ruth Alexander Parker. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School. Reuben was a proud member of Family Church in Redfield. He loved dancing to Praise music, he loved interacting with his Church family….In fact, that was the common theme of his life…..He loved. He was born with Down's Syndrome and though mostly non-verbal, Reuben touched so many lives, by showing and sharing God's love with them, without needing to say a word. Because his heart was so full of joy, those around him couldn't help but experience it. He was a part of a close family who loved him beyond measure, and knew he loved them just as much. Reuben will be missed greatly by so many, but what a comfort knowing that he's home with Jesus.
Reuben died Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 34. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, "Mamaw and Papaw" Anna Lee and Eddie Alexander, and his "Gogo" Sina Louise Watson.
Survivors include his parents Rusty and Juanita Parker of Redfield; sister and brother-in-law, Keela and Damon Cleghorn of Redfield; nieces and nephew, Avorie, Emery and Ethan Cleghorn; grandfather, Ed and wife Linda Watson. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him, as well as his church family.
A celebration of Reuben's life will be held at 7:00 P.M., Friday, January 28, 2022 at Family Church in Redfield with Pastor Dan McDonald officiating.
Memorials may be made to Family Church in Redfield, 721 Sheridan Road, Redfield, Arkansas 72132.
