Richard Alvin Allen of Sheridan, Arkansas was born May 6, 1939 in Sheridan, Arkansas, the son of the late Leonard and Esther Files Allen. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Sheridan and had retired from Centria.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and giving everyone a hard time.

Mr. Allen died at his home on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the age of 77.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rick Allen.

Survivors: wife, Twila Mae Davis Allen of Sheridan; son, Kevin Ray Allen of Sheridan; daughters, Patricia Mobley and husband Walter, Sr. of Augusta, Georgia, Twila Allen of Sheridan; brothers, Kenneth Allen of Sheridan, Jim and wife Melanie Allen of Sheridan, Bob and wife Sharon Allen of Pine Hurst, Idaho, Jerry and wife Peggy Allen of Salem, Oregon; sisters, Lynette Boyd of Wrens, Georgia, Sharon and husband Bud Dunson of Nashville, Arkansas, Donna and husband Tim Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Cedar Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Kevin Allen, Billy Allen, Christopher Allen, Ethan Allen, Jim Allen, Kenneth Allen, Steve Ward, Dennis Allen and Danny Allen.
