Richard Lee Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas, formerly of Brown County, Indiana was born in Brown County, Indiana on September 26, 1934, the son of the late Ora Arto Smith, Sr. and Helen Mae White Smith. He had served in the Navy during the Korean War, had worked at Cummins Engine Company, Columbus, Indiana fo 15 years, State Park Manager at Brown County State Park in Nashville, Indiana and Shakamak State Park in Jasonville, Indiana. He was also a 32nd Degree Master Mason.

Mr. Smith died Friday, October 26, 2007 at Saline Memorial Hospital at the age of 73.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by spouses, Rosella Shiley and Nancy Snooks and a sister, Betty Sue McMasters.

Funeral Services will be 1:30 PM Friday, November 2, 2007 at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville, Indiana with Rev. Daryl Gressel officiating. Burial will follow at David Cemetery. Visitation: Thursday, November 1, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Masonic Service at 7:30 at the funeral home.
