Richie Cotton of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 18, 1974 at Little Rock, the son of Jerry and Sandra Emberton Cotton. He was a member of Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Nascar. He was former Arkansas State Racing Champion in the Dwarf Car division. Richie's proudest accomplishments were his two boys, who he loved with all his heart. He enjoyed singing karaoke with them and just making memories together.

Richie died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at his home at the age of 40. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister and best friend, Lisa Cotton; grandparents, Glen Emberton and Frank and Norma Cotton; cousin, Mike Cotton; uncles, Tommy Emberton and Randy Cotton.

Survivors; sons, Jake and Justin Cotton; parents, Jerry and Sandra Cotton of Sheridan; sister and brother-in-law, Teri and Jerry Don Hollingshead of Sheridan; grandmother, Pat Emberton of Sheridan; niece, Ashley Cotton and Cody Raber; nephew, Dylan Hollingshead, great nephew, Cason Raber; mother of his children, Drendia Cotton and a host of other family members and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. John Mooney and Bro. Dennis Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Rhodes Cemetery near Sheridan. Visitation is Friday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
