Obituary

Ricky D. Anderson, age 55 of Sheridan, Arkansas passed away on May 25, 2021.  He was born March 3, 1966 to  Robert L. "Bob" Anderson and Wilma J. Anderson Mann.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal grandfather, the Reverend Jodie Anderson, and his maternal grandparents, Floyd Benjamin Ward and Wilma Tabor Ward.  He is survived by his wife, Dorie L. Anderson and daughters,  Tara KayLynn Grehl and husband, Falco Grehl, and Chelsea V. Anderson, his sister, Darla RaNae Nichols and husband, Andy Adams, 6 handsome grandsons, Bradyn Clay, Karsyn Grehl, Skyler Smith, Jaxson Smith, Kolby Smith and Maksim Anderson, his 2 beloved furbabies, Allyee and Phoebe, and also Christopher Nichols and wife, Bailey Nichols and niece, Brittany Moore and husband, Alan Moore and 2 great-nieces, Emma and Ellen Nichols.

Rick was a carpenter by trade and anyone who had ever seen his work could recognize the pride he took in making sure the job was done correctly and to his exacting standards.  He considered himself a woodworker to the highest degree and enjoyed being able to use his skills in creating beautiful works of art in the building of decks particularly.   He didn't just want his clients to have a deck added to their houses, he wanted them to have a beautiful addition to their homes that was beautiful and unique and would be a source of pride for the homeowner, built to stand the test of time and as a testimony to his skills. He loved hearing job well done.

He also enjoyed playing guitar and singing, entertaining his family and friends with his passion of music.  And he looked forward to the time when all his 6 boys were old enough to go camping and fishing with Geepaw, as he was affectionately known as.

He was a Christian man and remained strong in his faith in the everlasting reward offered by the ransom sacrifice paid by our Heavenly Father and Son.  He has now heard job well done, my faithful servant.
