IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ricky Lee
"Rick" Pritchard
June 29, 1959 – November 28, 2025
Ricky Lee "Rick" Pritchard of East End was born June 29, 1959 at Babenhausen, Germany, where his father was stationed in the military. He was the son of Dorothy Drum Pritchard and the late Phillip Pritchard.
Mr. Pritchard died Friday, November 28, 2025 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 66, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. However, Rick firmly believed the scripture "To live is Christ and to die is gain", so his illness didn't take him down, His Savior took him Home.
He was a member of East Union Baptist Church and was Retired from Dassault Falcon Jet after 30 plus years in the upholstery department. He loved getting to travel around the country to do fit checks on aircraft seats. He enjoyed hunting and playing golf, but he absolutely loved watching his 2 boys play sports.
Not to brag (but he definitely did), to this day, Rick still holds the Kansas record for a non-typical turkey he killed in 2008. It was 27 lbs with 8 beards.
Rick was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2018 and rather than give up, he spent the past 7 years living well, laughing often, and loving much, in spite of his physical challenges. In fact one of his favorite things to do was to attend KU Jayhawk (Kansas University) basketball games, and he attended his last one, just 2 weeks ago with his son Brett in New York City.
Survivors include his best friend, who was also his wife, Jayme Owens Pritchard. They were married May 14, 1988, and enjoyed years filled with family, friends, and untold numbers of adventures, side by side the whole journey. Other survivors are his 2 favorite children, his sons, Brett (Aubrey) Pritchard and Conner Pritchard. Actually they were his only children, but they really wanted to get the last word with their dad for once, or at least until they see him again one day. Also, the real star of the show, his granddaughter, Emelia Pritchard, who got that special granddaughter pass, which means she did no wrong in her grandpa's eyes; mother, Dorothy Pritchard; sisters, Marilyn (Clark) Wedel, Debi (Brian)Sweet; brother-in-law, Greg (Brenda) Owens. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many friends, his East Union Church Family and his Dassault Falcon Jet work family. Oh, and now the REALLY important one to mention is his dog Miranda.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at East Union Baptist Church at Hensley, with Bro. Paul Roberts and Bro. Roy Matlock officiating. Committal service will be at 3:00 P.M. in Hopewell Cemetery, near El Dorado, Arkansas. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M., also at East Union Church.
