Rita Lou Pumphrey Hulse of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 29, 1917 in Prattsville, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Nathan and Cora Paxton Pumphrey. She was a charter member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with her family.

Ms. Hulse died Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock at the age of 102.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Floyd Hulse, whom she married in November 1941, her siblings, James P. Pumphrey, Walter Pumphrey, Ruth Keedy, Virgie Hamilton, Bernice Mullins and her twin brother, Roy Lee Pumphrey.

Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ralph Rimmer of Little Rock; grandsons, Tyler Rimmer and Dale Rimmer: sister, Mary Ellen Pumphrey Barnett of Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be private.
