Rita Webb Harp Gregory Townsend of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 12, 1932 in Grant County, the daughter of the late James Gill Webb and Louetta Hayes Webb. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed visiting, shopping and going to church.

Ms. Townsend died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age 89.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Jeanie Harp Holmes,  husband James Townsend, grandson Gary Harp, great grandchildren Kaci and Lane Holmes and 6 siblings.

Survivors: son, Gary (Sharon) Harp of Sheridan; step-sons, Randy Townsend of Benton, Jeff Townsend of Kansas City, Mark Townsend of Tulsa; special son-in-love, Calvin Holmes of Sheridan; grandchildren Ginger and Jeremy Odom, Adrian and Mona Holmes, Carol Harp a host of numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M.  Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Cypert officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 until service time. Burial will follow at  Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville.
