Robert Ray Buie of Prattsville, Arkansas was born June 5, 1931 in Prattsville the son of the late James Harding and Birdie Evalee Mooney Buie. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church at Sheridan and was a retired concrete dispatcher for Guido in Roseburg, Oregon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Buie died Sunday, May 18, 2008 at his home at the age of 76.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Danny Ray Buie and Michael Wayne Buie; brother, Johnny Buie; sisters, Esta Webb and Betty Chamblee.

Survivors are his wife, Carol Ann Christle Buie of Prattsville whom he married December 27, 1951; Sons, Donald Ray Buie and Gary Robert Buie both of Prattsville; Daughters, Tena Marie Schoggin and husband Nolan of Poyen and Melissa Rae Albrich and husband Andy of Milaukie, Oregon; Brother, James Buie of Malvern; Sisters, Arita Sadler of Bauxite and Martha Earnest of Prattsville; 6 grandchildren, Miki; Missy; Randi; Casey; Misty and Erin. 3 Great grandchildren, Jayden, Payton and Zander.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Sheridan with Father Oliver Ochieze officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:00 PM. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery at Sheridan.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, P.O. Box 624, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
