Robert Fabel

Robert Marvin Fabel of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 8, 1932 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of the late Myrtle Viola Lea. He attended First Baptist Church in Sheridan, and a retired diesel mechanic. He enjoyed staying busy, bike riding even in his 80’s and fishing. He also loved fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Robert died at his home on Friday, June 26, 2026 surrounded by his family at the age of 94.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Rose Fabel; brother, Sonny Erickson; sister, Joan Snackenburg and an infant daughter, Jill Christine Fabel, 4 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Survivors: sons, Robert Dean Fabel of North Dakota, Randall J. Fabel of Louisiana; daughters, Liz Quirk of Minnesota, Nancy German of New York, Roberta McElvain of Pine Bluff, Kelly Bertrand of Hensley, Kathleen Joy Brewer of Sheridan, Kimberly Janel Romain of Louisiana; sister, Jean Norby of Minnesota; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and many extended family members and friends.

A Memorial service will be Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Thomas Sewell officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 5:00 until service time.
