Robert "Bob" Roland Gash of Sheridan, Arkansas was born January 12, 1925 at Harrodsburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Earnest and Verna Whitehouse Gash. He was a World War II Army Air Corp. Veteran, and continued on in his military service to retire as a Major in the Air Force. He was a member of Parkhill Baptist Church in North Little Rock, was retired from Champion Building Products and was an avid history buff, especially the Civil War.

Mr. Gash died Friday, October 2, 2009 at Arkansas Hospice in Little Rock at the age of 84. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Gash; Brothers, Donald and Clelland Gash; Sister, Louise Divine.

Survivors include his Daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Paul Grove of Sheridan; 2 Grandsons, Paul Grove, Jr. and fiancé Bridgett Allen of Sheridan and Jeff Grove of Benton; Great Grandson, Braden Grove of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 5, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-5:00 P.M. A private family burial will be held on Tuesday.
