Robert C ."Bob" Hager, Sr., 73, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas died Monday, May 24, 2010 at St. Joseph's Mercy Medical Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born June 25, 1936 in Batesville, Arkansas the son of the late Charles A. And Emma K. Miller Hager.
He lived in Arkansas for the better part of his life. Graduated from White Hall High School in 1955 and he had served in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1959. He was employed by the Southern Pacific Railroad (formerly Cotton Belt Railroad) as General Foreman, having retired in 1991. He was also a member of Balboa Baptist Church at Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 37 years, JoAnn Hawkins Hager and a brother Roger Hager of Kansas.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie Lee Hager whom he married July 19, 1997 at Perryville, Arkansas, a daughter, Kristy Griffith (Mike) of Sheridan, a son, Robert C. Hager, Jr. Of Fairbanks, Alaska; 2 step sons, Greg Stewart (Kim) of Benton and Lee Stewart (Rebekah) of Perryville; Brother, Bill Hager (Carol) of Hot Springs; sisters, Charlene Scott of Little Rock and Debbie Fiser (Gary) of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Grandchildren: Tiffany (Cody) Easley of Sheridan, Haley Griffith of Sheridan, Hunter Griffith of Ft. Stewart, Georgia; Ashton, Brenna and Brayden Stewart of Benton; Brennen, Rylee and Alley Stewart of Perryville and great grandkids, Yancy and Drake Easley of Sheridan.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Bro. Horace Gray officiating. Visitation: 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. prior to service time. A private family burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Pine Bluff.
