Robert Lawrence Hitt, Sr. Of Sheridan, Arkansas was born December 7, 1923in Townley, Alabama the son of the late Luther Lawrence and Lou Vadie Cooner Hitt. Mr. Hitt died Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at the Sheridan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 81.

He was a retired iron worker and welder and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army with service during WWII. He was also a Baptist.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Grady, Geneva, Hattie and George.

Grandchildren; Wayne Hitt, Todd Hitt, Amanda Lancaster, Sarah Hitt and Rhonda Reed: Great grandchildren: Morgan, Lathan, Elizabeth and Madlynn.
