Robert "Bob" Pettit, of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 20, 1927 at Lawrence, Kansas the son of the late J.V. and Dora Eubanks Pettit. He was the pastor of First Christian Church in Sheridan and a retired Regional Claims adjuster for Shelter Insurance Company.

Mr. Pettit died Monday, April 5, 2004 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff at the age of 76.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Ruth Dawson Pettit.

Survivors are sons; Jeffrey Pettit of Iowa City, Iowa and Joel Pettit of Conway, Arkansas
Daughter; Kathy Meins of Helena, Alabama
Brother; Jack Pettit of Columbia, Missouri
6 Grandchildren

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2004 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan with Rev. Barbara Jones officiating.. The family requests no flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, 49 Grant 4644, Sheridan, Arkansas 72150.
