Robert Lynn Rainwater of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 2, 1940 in Newark, Arkansas, the son of the late Raymond and Bessie Heron Rainwater. He was of the Baptist faith and had served in the US Navy having fought in the Vietnam War. He had worked for the Pine Bluff Arsenal and NCTR and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to "ole time" country music.

Mr. Rainwater died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff at the age of 76.

Survivors: wife and best friend of 56 years, Peggy Lou Seward Rainwater; sons, John and wife Melody Rainwater, Kevin Rainwater and Becky Caldwell; brothers, John Ray Rainwater and Charles Reed Rainwater; sisters, Mary Magee and husband Neal all of Sheridan and Pauline Steele of Bryant; grandchildren, Mark Allen Rainwater, David Robert Rainwater and Cassie Rene Rainwater and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 10, 2016 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Micah McKinley and Bro. Arlis East officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Graves, Robert Aud, RJ England, Robert Tackett, Grayson McCool, and Brant Steele. Honorary pallbearers is Danny Steele.
