Obituary

Roger Winford Ford was born September 14, 1938, in Leola, AR to the late Dewey and Katye Lamb Ford. He graduated from Leola High School in 1956 and served three years in the United States Army during the Cold War with most of his time being served in Germany. He worked more than forty years as a master journeyman electrician in the service and manufacturing industries. Roger died at his home in Leola on February 4, 2016.

Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Westerman Ford, two sons; Gregory Ford of Fort Smith and Geoffrey (Tasha) Ford of Benton, LA; two grandsons, Caleb and Isaac Ford; four sisters, Anita Matlock, Bivian (Dale) Hale, Bettye Faye (Micheal) Gerety, and Beverly (Randy) Williams, and a host of extended family and friends.
Roger was an avid outdoorsman and a faithful attendee of his grandsons' events. He was a member of Leola Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Leola Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Richard Sullivant and Randy Groomes officiating. Burial will be in Brush Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan.

Pallbearers are Wallace Ford, Randy Groomes, Dan Holland, Dale Horn, Charles Lamb, and Paul Orr.
