Roger Dale Hobson of Redfield, Arkansas was born October 1, 1952 in Star City, Arkansas, the son of the late Ralph and LaWanda Arline Cook Hobson. He had served in the United State Marine Corp for 9 years and had retired from the Corp of Engineers. He was a member of Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, racing, carpentry, building watches and racecars and spending time with his precious granddaughters.

Mr. Hobson died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the John L McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock at the age of 64.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Nell Rogers Hobson.

Survivors: sons, Joey and wife Kelly Hobson of Redfield, Mark and wife Melissa Hobson of Little Rock; brother, Terry and wife Gale Hobson of Watson Chapel; sisters, Glenda and husband Walt Snyder of Sheridan, Betty Jo and husband Mike Sweeny of Sheridan; 4 granddaughters, Anna and Aly Hobson, Olivia and Claire Hobson and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in White Hall.
Visitation will be Sunday 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Joey Hobson, Charlie Stevens, Johnny Gaddy, Jeremy Hobson, Brent Hobson, and Casey McCumpsey. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Aaron and Brad Sweeney.
