Roger Dale Turner of Sheridan, Arkansas was born June 25, 1950 in Rison, Arkansas, the son of the late John Edward and Myrtis Marie Sipes Turner. He had retired from the Arkansas Highway Department after 20 plus years of service. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish. Roger was also a square dance caller for many years as well as having served many years at Sheridan Little League coaching and umpiring. Roger loved his kids and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Turner went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2009 in Sheridan at the age of 58.

Grandchildren, Paige; Colton; Amber; Kade and Averi;

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Varnell Cemetery in Rison. Visitation: 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
