R ommie G. Smith of Prattsville, Arkansas was born August 19,1932, in Sheridan, the son of the late George Smith and Velma Stubbs Smith. He was retired from Alcoa and was a member of Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and mowing his yard.

Mr. Smith died at his home on December 28, 2024 at the age of 92.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Smith: son Marvin Joe Smith, three great grandchildren, Maddix, Meyer, McKayla Smith

Survivors: sons, Victor Smith (Marsha) of Benton, Dwayne Smith (Martha) of Sheridan; brother, Ralph Smith (Robyn) of Grapevine; sister, Martha Smith Harrison (Terry) of Kentucky; grandsons, Jody, Eric (Chrystin), Chad (Carrie); great grandchildren, Erin, Colton, Carly, Abygail, and Emma.

Graveside service will be Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Philadelphia Cemetery.
