James Ronald "Ron" Higginbotham of Sheridan, Arkansas was born September 25, 1948 in Pontotoc, Mississippi, the son of the late Virgil R. and Janie Ruth Dodson Higginbotham. He was a carpenter and had many hobbies. He loved to play the guitar and harmonica as well as writing and playing video games.

Ron died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at UAMS in Little Rock as a result from an accident at the age of 63.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Higginbotham.

Daughters, Sherri Taylor and husband, Ryan of Sheridan;
Melissa Higginbotham and spouse Lore Reaves of Hensley;
Brother, Jerry Higginbotham of Clinton;
Sisters, Carrolle Mount of Florida;
Janice Ivy of Birmingham, Alabama;
Mother-in-law, Lucille Pacios of Sheridan;
Grandchildren, Jacob "Ryan" Thomas and wife Felicia; Logan Thomas, Natalie Kirkpatrick and Nathan Kirkpatrick all of Sheridan.

A time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 2:00 until 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
