Ronnie Joe Ward of Sheridan, Arkansas was born August 14, 1947 in Bloomington, Illinois, the son of the late Stella June Walters Ward Gahn and Larry Gahn.

Ron was of the Lutheran faith. He was a good man who loved his family dearly. He and his wife Cindy were foster parents for over 12 years. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, no questions asked.

Ron died Saturday, July 20, 2019 at his home at the age of 71.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Travis and Mary Bryant and a brother-in-law, Joe Paul Bryant.

Survivors: wife of 28 years, Cindy Bryant Ward of Sheridan; sons, Earnie McElroy of Sheridan, Russell Ward of Dewitt. Christopher Ward of Booneville, Charles Ward of Sheridan, Tristen Ward of Sheridan; son/grandson, Ronnie Joe Ward, II of Conway; daughters, Mary Betsy Ward of Sheridan, Laura Stringfellow of Benton, Melanie Ward of New York, Charity Ward of Sheridan; brother, James Michael Brewer and wife Gail of Missouri; sister, Mona Albon of Fort Myers, Florida; 12 grandchildren and a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Bethel South Cemetery with Steve Ward officiating.
