Ronald Charles York of Hensley, Arkansas was born June 1, 1950 in Baytown, Texas, the son of the late Honree and Lucy Gregory York. He had served in the US Navy and attended Little Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan.

Ron died at his home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the age of 67.

Ron was a Supervisor for the Sheridan School District bus shop as well as a mechanic for many years. He enjoyed going to Texas to the beach, fishing, history, and going to flea markets and antique shops.

He loved to work, help others with projects, and spend time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Warren McCall, sister, Patti York, stepdaughter, Geneva Benskin.

Survivors: wife, Bonnie Gilbert York of Hensley; sons, Clifford Wayne Brumley of Beebe, Christopher Eron York of Texarkana, Texas; daughters, Cindi and husband Steve Cooper of Searcy, Wendy and husband Andy Treat of Beebe; twin brother, Donald and wife Jane York of Cleveland, Texas; sisters, Judy and husband Tommie Saxon of Cleveland, Texas, Joan and husband Leroy Danek of Cleveland, Texas; step-daughter, Joanie Cruz of Sheridan; step-son, Jerry Benskin of Siloam Springs; grandchildren, Audrey and husband Jon Hearn, Jared Cooper, Carter Treat and a step-grandchild, Jesus Elias and a host of nieces, nephews, co-workers and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2017 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John Mooney officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 until service time.
