Ronnie Joe Walters of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Sheridan, was born July 17, 1952 at Sheridan, the son of the late Vernon and Barbara Robinson Walters. He was a graduate of Sheridan High School. Ronnie's personality of never meeting a stranger, led him into sales, and that's where he truly found his calling. As the old saying goes, he truly could sell Ice to an Eskimo, and he worked in outside lumber sales for most of his career. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and of course, finding deals at flea markets. He spent much of his time, bragging to whoever would listen, about his love for his kids and grandkids. He was proud to have had the opportunity to coach their Little League football and baseball teams.

Mr. Walters died Monday, January 25, 2021 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, at the age of 68. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sceburn Walters, Vernon Walters; sisters, Margie Mosley, Virginia Walters, Margaret Walters; and a granddaughter, Baylee Jacks.

Survivors include his wife, Kathey Wilson Walters of Cabot; sons, Dale Walters (Sarah) of Sheridan, Daniel Shane Walters of Cabot; daughters, Jodie Jacks of Sheridan, Kaitlin Walters (Seth Miller) of Cabot; brother, Hershel Walters of Sheridan; grandchildren, Kadance, Weston, Braelyn, Hudson, Hannah, Ella Ellis, and one on the way, Maxine. He is also survived by a number of other family members and many, many, friends.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2021 at Jackson Cemetery, near Sheridan, with Bro. Tommy Jones officiating. Visitation is also Friday, 1:00-2:00 P.M., at the funeral home. Anyone unsure about the cemetery location is welcome to follow the procession from the funeral home to the cemetery, following the visitation.
