Roy Bell O'Mary, Age 69 died Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 at his home in Sheridan, Arkansas. He was born Feb. 14th, 1938 in Calhoun County near Hampton to parents William Thomas and Vaudie Jane O'Mary.

He is survived by his wife Elizabeth, mother Vaudie, sons Roy Jr., Shawn, Bryon, daughter Kelly, his brothers H.P., William Franklin, George, sisters Sarah Jane and Lucy. He also leaves a legacy of 7 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death and joins his father William and sister Patricia in heaven.

Roy served in the U.S. Navy as an Engineers Mate from 1956 to 1959 in Long Beach, California. He settled in Southern California after his service in the Navy, worked in the plating industry and raised his family until returning to Sheridan in 1995, where he worked as a Production Supervisor for Sterling Faucet until 1999.

Roy absolutely loved being outdoors. His passion for hunting and fishing were the catalyst of many excursions with family and friends. The smiles that came from him during those times were great. The kind of pure joy that radiated from him was like a kid with a new toy.

A Chapel service is to be held at Memorial Gardens in Sheridan on Saturday, October 27th at 10AM.

He will be dearly missed.
