Roy A. Rawls of Jefferson, Arkansas was born July 9, 1939 in Marietta, Oklahoma, the son of the late Roy Victor and Ila West Rawls. He was of the Baptist faith and a 1957 graduate of Watson Chapel High School. He retired from International Paper Company, had his own logging business and was a Tyson Poultry Producer. He enjoyed raising cattle, camping, boating, riding around, traveling, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.

Mr. Rawls died Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Hospice Home Care in Little Rock at the age of 79.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth (Nicki) Tucker.

Survivors: wife, caregiver and best friend, Kathleen Martin Tucker-Rawls of Jefferson; sons, David and wife Leisha Rawls of Sheridan, Scott Rawls of Sheridan, Alec Wade Tucker Rawls of Jefferson; daughter, Kim Tucker of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brother, Jessie and wife Delores Rawls of Pine Bluff; sister, Marilyn and husband Don Williamson of Pine Bluff; 4 grandchildren, Hannah Rawls, Sarah Rawls, Haylee Tucker and Destiny Tadlock; his dogs, Lucy and Hercules and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 1, 2019 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jones Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 PM at the funeral home on Thursday.
