Roy Dean Smith of Sheridan, Arkansas was born November 4, 1951 in Pine Bluff, the son of the late Luther Dean Smith and Joyce Lee Benfield Smith. He was a welder and carman for the Railroad. He was a member of Fat Sacks Fishing Club and Smith & Taylor Hunting Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.

Mr. Smith died Monday, March 21, 2021 in Little Rock at St. Vincent Medical Center at the age of 70.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors: wife Diane Wormington Smith of Sheridan; son, Mark Allen Smith of Sheridan; daughter, Amanda Smith of Sheridan; brothers Jerry Smith of Sheridan, Terry (Deanna) Smith of Sherwood; sister Patricia Smith of Sheridan; 1 granddaughter, Kayla Haynes and a host of extended family members and friends.

Graveside service will be Friday, March 25, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Lost Creek Cemetery with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Visitation will also be Friday from 12:00-1:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Adam Smith. Dee Green, Tim Edwards, Chuck Ragsdale, Skylar Mullin and Joseph Bryant. Honorary JD Green, Carl Gene Smith, Nathan Smith, and Brian McGhee.
