Ruby Marie Nall Harris of Prattsville, Arkansas was born December 16, 1913 in Sardis, Arkansas the daughter of the late James Henry and Clara Oelrich Nall. She was a member of Buie Baptist Church in Prattsville where she taught Sunday School until the age of 96. She was very active in the Arkansas Extension Homemakers Club having been a member for over 50 years. In 1954 along with 2 of her children and a son-in-law, she graduated from LPTN Training and worked for many years at the Arkansas State Hospital. She helped 4-H kids to make aprons, taught people to read and paint and anytime there was anything that needed to be done, she was willing. She enjoyed painting, reading, hunting, making crafts, gardening, and volunteering.
Mrs. Harris died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab Center at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hosea Harris, her son, George Harris, sisters, Mildred Morris, Eula Freeman Faulkner and brothers, Manuel Eugene Nall and Rudolph Nall.
Survivors: Son, Conrad Harris and wife Gloria of Malvern;
Daughters, Vivian Tallison and husband Don of Prattsville; Marcia Fenter and husband Carroll of Poyen;
8 Grandchildren, Laura, Jason, Joel, David, Danny, James Donald, James Carroll and Michael; 12 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 2, 2012 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Sheridan with Bro. Don Tallison and her grandsons, James Fenter and Joel Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Jacob Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time also on Friday.
The family has requested that Mrs. Ruby wanted all those that attend to please dress casual.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Joel, Jason, David, Myles, James Donald, James Carroll and Michael.
