Ruby Zelma Combs Slaughter of Sheridan, Arkansas was born July 11, 1911 in Union, Mississippi the daughter of the late Fred Lynn and Pearl Wilson Combs. She was the oldest living member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan and had worked in her earlier years at Ben Pearson.

Mrs. Slaughter died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Sheridan Healthcare and Rehab at the age of 98.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Slaughter, and a granddaughter, Pamela Harper.

Daughter, Helen Harper of Sheridan;
Sister, Etoile Dobson of Pine Bluff;
4 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren;


Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Walton officiating. Burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
